My 2 favorite carry pistols

This is my primary carry pistol especially for hiking.
I did install a factory Glock 6" barrel, factory Glock expended magazine release, and Wolff steel guide rod with 20 pound recoil spring.
So far she has been a good one and has not given me any trouble

My Colt M1991A1 is one of my favorite pistols I have ever owned.
I added a Colt steel arched mainspring housing with a lanyard loop, Colt steel long trigger, hard fit reduced radius firing pin stop and, Trijicon front sight.
I put a very small radius on the grip safety where it meets the receiver to stop any chance of hammer bite.
I have passed about 15000 through this Colt with (truthfully) not a single pistol malfunction.

I am just over a few thousand on the Glock but she has not given any trouble either.

I would hate to have to choose between the two.

Not much of a Glock fan (do own a G19) but have considered the G20. Love the 1911, been carrying one since the early 80s. Both of yours are nice, enjoy them :).

I have a g20 as my carry. Is that the SF you have there? Never an issue with it and shoots pretty darn straight. Buffalo bore 180gr hp I keep in the chamber and extra mags of fmj just in case for punctuation. Other than that it's the five seven for carry. Everything else are just target guns =)

Very nice 1911, i really like the Glock! I have been thinking that a 10mm Glock with a beefy recoil spring might make me a handy trail gun someday for bear country. Not that i don't think my .44 wouldn't get the job done, but in that situation, hi-cap point and shoot would be nice to have!

I have a G20SF like yours except I have a 6inch Lone Wolf barrel in mine. Don't conceal carry mine a lot but do use it for deer. Killed a 5 point with it last fall using Win silvertips and wasn't disappointed. Usually carry my G26 or G30 or Springfield 1911 Compact in 45acp. That's a really sweet Colt!

Very nice colt. When I was in L.E. had to carry .38 (I cheated with a 2 1/2 inch mod 19. But I carried my colt 1911 as a backup. I hope you never have to use either one for defense
But both will do the job.
