I have a great little .22 that my wife inherited from her grandpa. It says "Le Chasseur" made by "MAB" in France for "WAC" on the left side. It has a slab sided barrel and a plastic grip marked Winfield and with a thumb rest. Near as I have been able to determine, it was imported by Wnfield Arms Company. It could be anything knowing her grandpa. It is a great little gun as long as I only feed it Federal ammo. It is very accurate. My problem is I carried it as a field gun on the 4 wheeler and lost the blade out of the rear sight. I would also like to try to get another magazine for it if possible. Has anyone ever heard of it? If so, any idea on the missing part and the magazine???

Thanks BigSlick. That is similar to mine. Mine has a shorter barrel and black plastic grips. Mine is also blued. It sounds like they were all moody about their ammo. Wish they would have published a little more info. Sounds like the importer is long gone.

Well, believe it or not, I actually found and bought a magazine. There was actually a gun just like mine on Gunbroker too. It is only $175.00 and located here in Denver, too. Might have to buy it just for a pattern for the missing blade on mine.[smilie=1:
