Want to start casting for 250 Savage , but don't know what weight I should look for. Any help would be greatly appreciated .

Check the Shilen website where they show recommemded twist by caliber and bullet weight. I do not recall the twist on your rifle , but you can find it, Ruger knows. That will be a starting point .

I can drive a 257420, 74 grain bullet @ 1950 in the 25-20 so you can also for sure in the Ruger 250. That means you can likely drive 100s or 115s at 2200 easily if the twist will allow. FWIW my 250 Savage with a 12" twist thrives on 87 grain FBSPs (j-word). Then find a mould you want to try.
