Ran into a deal on another Star. She ain't pretty, but everything appears to be in working order. Couldn't pass it up for $50....and it has a .358 die and punch installed. :-)

I was given one in worse shape than that, and it took a lot of elbow grease to get it cleaned up and operating, but it's now working right alongside the rest of my Star lubesizers. Mine also had a .358" die and top punch in it, plus some very, very old lube.

For $50.00 you basically bought a top punch and sizing die, with a Star machine thrown in for free. Great deal!

Congrats nice find. You pass up a star for $50 in ANY shape I think you loose the man card, casting card, shooting card, and we send you and letter informing you you can no longer own a gun. :kidding:

Sometimes it's all about being in the right place at the right time. I suppose it would be in bad taste to mention the $75 Dillon 550 I picked up a couple of years ago....even came with a set of Dillon 45ACP dies, a Dillon case cleaner and a Dillon media separator. 8-)

Here is a photo of the same Star from post #1, but after a couple of weeks of refurbishing it. It's almost ready to get back to doing what it was made for....sizing and lubing boolits. :-)

Jeez, I thought I got a good deal at $65. Maybe I should have dickered a little. Now I've really got my eyes open. There has to be some more out there at my kind of price. Great find!!!

mktacop, Being a former cop that has hundreds of investigations on file, I would just take a guess and say that between your purchase of the Dillon 550 and all of the extras for only $75 and now this $50 Star sizer you are in the right place. Are you by chance the admittance officer at the state mental hospital?

Ha! No sir, I have just been lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time....twice. :-)
