I was wondering if any of you fellows from down under had ever seen a pin like this one.

It was given to me by an Australian who attended the World Cast Bullet Silhouette Championship hosted by Lyman Products back in 1983.

Thank you,

Well,
that's where I live but I don't recognise the badge.
I'll do some investigation work and get back to you.

Kirby.

KirbyAUS,

Thank you for your reply. Martyn Robinson is the fellow that gave me the pin.
Would you, by chance, know him?

On the Leverguns forum, one fellow said this:

"I've had the good fortune to have competed at most of the Lever Action clubs in Australia, including a short but very unremarkable stint as Club Captain of tango4c's club.

The South Australian Club shoot at Golden Grove Range in Adelaide and the long running President there is Steve Nicholas who has been making a regular appearance in Brendan Atkinson's rifle reviews in the Australian Shooter magazine.

Each match is a 50 round event, shot in details of 5 rounds. Only one or two details are shot with a post rest with the rest shot offhand deliberate, offhand rapid fire, kneeling unsupported and sitting unsupported.

It's a hell of a lot of fun and has kept me entertained on and off since 1979."

Thutty,
sorry, the name doesn't ring a bell.

The name on the badge threw me. The Golden Grove range is 10 minutes from where I live ! I never seem to get to the Lever Action matches.

Next time I'm down I'll ask about M.R.

Kirby.
