Just in case someone is interested in what a 1000 358429 HP's looks like  Square groove with TAC#1.

Happy Happy Happy! kinda brings tears of joy to eyes. I can barely see my shop where I cast/reload because of the ongoing blizzard. Oh well, we need the moisture and we can thank the Lord for the moisture this will provide.

That is a pretty sight. I'm guessing that represents more that one casting session with the schp mold. Happy shooting.

Yikes! That is NOT the quickest way to get those, but it obviously works if you
keep at it.
Congratulations, this is a great design.

That's what a weekend of the wife being gone & a good bottle of whiskey will get you! It wasn't too bad but I don't want to do it again anytime soon.

Good looking mold. Lots of work there. I have a virgin Lyman HP 358429 that I am having a hard time molesting so it stays in the box.

I used to own that mold.
Lost it in a divorce.
You didn't get yours from my ex did you?
My favorite hunting bullet of all time.
It would blast a hole through a jackrabbit or a coyote that you could stick your fist through.
They dropped like they were struck by lightening.

I recently got that mold. I am waiting until things warm up so I can fire up the pot and give it a try.
Any suggestions to cut to making good boolits without wasting several hours and patience would be appreciated.

Run it hot, and FAST, don't give the pin time to cool.

I don't care who you are, that's purdy right there.
K-Rod:
VERY pretty ! :)
How about a couple close-up photos of both the mold and those bullets?
I own the same mold as well as the hollow base version and would like to see the numbers on your mold and the bullet profile.
I also enjoy casting them "one-at-a-time" ! :) :)
Best Regards,
Jerry
