I was looking online today on the Lyman web site. I happend to notice that they are selling a case trimmer that looks like and operates very much like the Lee case length gauge and cutter. I'm wondering what Lee Precision thinks about it. I have been using the Lee case trimmer since it first came out. Luckly they make them for every rifle and hand gun I own.

I think you will find the originality and innovation is lost with reloading tools. There is an older thread of the NEW Lee hand crank case trimmer is very close to an older 1950s tool of a different company. I wonder if we have a patent research person on this forum. I'm amazed by new tools that are older vintage tools where a patent expired.

Lyman tool is limited right now. Lee will make you one for from 22 caliber on up except for some older big bore British cases from custom services. I don't spend time trimming most pistol brass.

If its a patent infringement, the companies will duke it out.

Take care
