Haven't seen this one or anything like it before.

I have about 20 of these and I'm just curious.

Thanks in advance for any insight you may have. :)

Greek?

Those do look like Greek letters, don't they? Hadn't thought of that.

That is Hebrew, Het and Zayin. Looks like Israeli production 1975.

I have seen them at the range but I don't who made them and I don't think they are NATO.

They do not have the NATO head stamp symbol. (Circle with + sign in it. )

I also don't think they are Greek.

The left symbol is similar to Pi

The left symbol is not similar to any Greek letter.

My first thought was that was some of the counterfeit Asian ammo that was produced after we sold our M14 machinery, but those do look like Greek letters. Anyone know if the Greeks used any headstamps other than HXP?

It's IMI (Israeli) 1975 dated ammo.

You need to visit the falfiles as some lots of Israeli 7,62 had badly annealed brass and caused some severe casehead separations and or longital splits. There's some lots of paki & Indian 7,62 out there you need to be wary of as well.

I personally avoid Paki ammo, they have been known to make ammo by having little kids tap the bullets into the cases with hammers.

That ammo was headstamped TZ 80. If you have any either bury it or throw it in a deep river. It will destroy your rifle!
