Willy....if I'm joining that group you don't have room for enough Gold stars beside the banner. I'm one of the originals living in the at the epicenter of the place the annointed used to start the bitter clinger movement....lol......but I'm in anyway, of all the banners I could put up by my name.....this one I will use. Thanks.

Sam, I won't because I am not proud of the bitterness I hold toward certain things.

The bible part is a personal thing, on which I won't comment here.

I'm not criticizing anyone, merely pointing out one of many possible answers to your question.

Because I'm not bitter whatsoever about my religion or my guns, and I don't cling to them--I foster and protect them just as they do me.

I will admit I am bitter toward my government. I down right despise what it has become in the last 100 years, and accelerated in the last 30. A hand full of fools has taken a great nation and done everything they can to destroy it. I cling to my faith because with out it there is not much left to look forward to once my children are fully grown. Lastly I cling to my guns because they will be the only thing that will eventually be able to resurrect this republic once it is in its final death throws. Be it me, my children, or my grandchildren, the few guns that I have and maintain will be all they will have to restore order and maintain their freedom.

My bitterness may not be very Christ like, but I feel it is justified just as Jesus was upon finding the money changers in the temple and driving them out. I just pray for the time that the American people will wake up and enter the metaphorical temple and clean house. Maybe I am delusional in that hope, but I still hold out.

If I knew more about it, then I might consider it. Is this related to king Husein's comment about we, the grass roots movement, clinging to our religion and our guns?

That's a poor title, I had a clinging girl friend once, I did not like that feeling. I don't feel that I cling to anything. I defend my right to keep and bear arms. My religion is a personal matter, another inalienable right.

I'll think on this one for a while...---

Then don't join. I don't believe this is one of life's great decisions that requires much reflection. It is statement about our *** POTUS and them some. Not worth parsing words. I think this is awesome but not worth hand wringing or over-intellectualism.

I joined because my bible and my right to have firearms is not to be judged by anyone. If you think this is a negative group stay out, if on the other hand your bible and the words in it mean something special and you honor the Constitution and Bill of Rights then just maybe being label bitter over the attempt of the current political world to dictate what you can and can not have is a good thing.
I don't blame anyone for not joining it is your choice but remember this as individuals it is much easier to remove us then as a large group.
I respect everyone who has feelings towards not joining as it might single you out as a Christian but that has been done so many times over the last centuries I don't see anything bad in being known as a Christian, but then I never saw any reason why I should not have any firearm I want as long as I use it responsibly.
Some are crying foul with this new label many of us have chosen to accept and that is the whole point access or don't no one here will or should think less of you for not joining or even if you join.
Who here has not joined a group at some point in their life for any reason that seemed logical to them?
If we understand this is a God Fearing Nation, created to be a beacon to the world of freedom, tolerance and refuge for the oppressed then friends just what have we become if we don't stand for the very principles this nation was created?

I joined this group yesterday when I opened the site. The POTUS has called us all dissidents and domestic terrorists and so forth. In reality, we are just proud Americans who hold true to the Constitution and The Founders' visions.

Precisely!

I am not bitter in the slightest about religion or my guns. Bitter is such a weak word when discussing the *** living in our DC house.

I joined, I am not bitter, just doing it to spite BO and his statement about our guns and religion, no true bitterness!

And I am young enough that I plan to have many many more years of clinging left in me to make life difficult for the liberals!

In a word, yes.
It is entirely premised on his statements and was completely my idea.
This isn't meant to cause any divisions within our ranks but to spite the garbage positions of the satanic roots of the problems we all face.

You might consider this version.

bitter - extremely and sharply; "it was bitterly cold"; "bitter cold"
bitingly, piercingly, bitterly

and what could be wrong with: cling, to hold fast or adhere closely (to something),

I'm not bitter and I'm using it primarialy because I live in the area he mentioned during his speech in Cailf. He had just left Pa. and said those people are clinging to their guns and bibles and maybe a bit bitter hich I found hysterical. Like I say...I'm not bitter but I am clinging and he forgot to mention we're also clinging the the Constitution.

For me it's kinda like ( there mine and you can't have them )
My Christianity and my believe That Jesus died on the cross for me, is not up for grabs.
So it was an easy point and click.

Alright everybody I'm jumping on this ride, And honored to be here, Thanks for having me.

And folks I'm gonna go ahead and came out with it, When the name Bitter Clinger first hit the air waves I had to sit back and think about for a whole 2 sec's, about the name Bitter Clinger. I'm not a bitter person by no means at all, but I'll admit I get Bitter when they start talking nonsense like taking the term away from us like, In GOD we trust, Taking GOD out of the Pledge of Allegiance, No prayer before sporting events, And would just love to take away the Ten Commandments. And yes I'm a Clinger when they start pulling and tugging on our Constitution and everything else this country was built on. Well at the end of the day I reckon I'm a Bitter Clinger.
Thank yall for letting me express my Freedom of Speech.

Take care and GOD Bless,
Lets stand Tall and Strong
