Bought a couple of double-hole moulds for M1 carbine and .380 auto. Did the light (120 grain) .309" mould and the light (102 grain) .356" mould for the job.

Both cast at .313" and .360", respectively. 4 thousandths over with wheel weight. It will be fine, as I can run them through a die to bring them down to where they need to be. "Better large than small," the saying goes.

I'm not going to return them, but wondered, is +4 thousandths right at the "edge" of their tolerance?

im sorry but i must tell you this!!!!Lee Precision has no edge of tolerance any more as any thing goes.if lead can be poured into the mold that is good enough for them and those molds will be sent out.Lee molds of yesteryear did in fact have an edge of tolerance but no more!!!
:confused:im sure if you were to visit their plant you will find they are on the edge of confusion:confused:

If it don't work out for you Randy, I'll take it off your hands. Need one like that for my .32-20. That boolit is a great one in my M-1 carbine with 12.5 gr. Win 296 or 12.5 gr. H-4227. Sized to .309".

Wish I could get a .313" 120gr mold for my CZ-52. No luck so far.
