So the wife and I are out and about hitting the Thrift stores looking for anything stuff we can reclaim for projects. And to my surprise I find a beauty product that was specifically designed to melt wax. This item is called the IGIA Therma-Spa Paraffin Wax Therapy machine. So the thrift store want $12 for this contraption with about 6# of unused paraffin wax. Me being the cheap guy I am offered $5 and was then countered at $7 so I bought it. Oh and it has a detachable power cord which I had needed for my PID unit. So I killed 2 birds with 1 stone in that respect.

Nice find. I work nights so I have my wife hit the thrift stores and she send me pictures of things she finds I might want. Thrift Stores, like scrounging the dump but with AC and Heat :) It is amazing how many times you find things that people got rid of and the thrift stores have no idea what it is. I picked up a nice Enfield blade bayonet for a No4 at a thrift store for 3 dollars .

I was making a house call and had to go into the customer's garage. He had an RCBS A4 BigMax press hanging on the wall. I asked him if he was a reloader. He told me that he no longer reloaded but that he had bought it brand new many years ago to reload 300 Win Mag. He asked if I was interested in it. I bought it along with a few other reloading items for $50.00. The press only has the universal shell holder and not the piece that holds the standard shell holders. I think I did OK.

I think you did, too.

There's some local nut who is advertising an A4 for $500.00 on Craigs List. I guess he's trying to retire while some buyers are panicking.

So what are you using the wax melter for? Bullet lube?

Nice find there. Saw one the other day and didn't think about that. Sleeping at the wheel.

The only casting equipment I've bought new is two molds. Everything else came from Goodwill or other thrift stores. Why pay for new, when used will do?
