On the 96th roung of my usual 100 round daily morning constitutional as I opened the cylender to extract the spent cases a part of the cylinder latch fell on my forearm. AAAAAARUG!
Also found cynder latch pin laying on the concreat luckly.
Now I've been good, HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN TO ME!

You must be mistaken. I've heard several times that the Ruger is indestructable.

Did it break or did a part unscrew?

Just pack it up and send it back to Ruger, with the latch.I'd bet you get it back fixed like new....

If you have all the parts, just put it back together and make sure that securing pin is completely engaged.

Yep. Very common problem. All their parts are very reasonable and easy to identify. Probably cost $2.00 or $300. A light thread locker of some sort will prevent it in the future.

HI,
I love the rugers I have. I believe a pin just backed out & it will be an easy fix.
Loaded 200+ rounds today to aswage my greaf.
But my hands are trembeling from withdrawal as I did not get to shoot today & it is summer.
OH WELL.

Good news, that. Any interruption of ballistic entertainment is always bad.
