I got it dirt cheap (otherwise wouldn't have it) Shoots ok but really loud fired a couple of times then put it away. also have a 308 win barrel with remington 700 open sights mounted on it. When i come accross a good deal on a barrel that I already have with a scope on it -- I have the extra barrel mounted with sights.

Nope--not me. I have the ultra-scary "bring down aircraft" .223 version with the super-duper tactical pistol grip. It was so darn tactical I had to put a scope on it that wasn't black just so I could get near enough to handle it without getting chills and goose-bumps from the raw terror of it... :D

Don't tell anyone, but this is a group fired from it---It was fired at a distance of 12,000 miles in .005 seconds, and actually reached the target 5 minutes before I fired! How's that for awesome!! :D

previous owner, shortened mine don't think I would have cut it that short on my own. After firing it although I wouldn't mine a shortened 223 for my boy.

They seem wrapped up in their reality "show" on the AR forum.........seems the extreme lube thread ran the same course as the past thread I got involved in here.........different topic but the same results from attempts at following obscure "secret squirrel" recipe's. Seems one of them might spring for a bit of that "magic lube" for one of us pagens (non-believers) to test?

Back to this threads topic; I'd post a pic of my "assault" .308 but it's not a Handi rifle as it is a 5 shot magazine bolt gun.........

I cut my own in a "chop" saw, then polished and re-crowned. Can be done with any metal-cutting saw....even a hack saw.
