I am considering purchasing an aftermarket barrel for my Glock so I may shoot cast bullets. Does anyone have any feelings regarding the LEE molds, TL-175 or the 175TC single groove? What about aftermarket barrels?

I have six cavity LEE in both 401-175-TC 175 Grain Truncated Cone and the
TL401-175-SWC 175 Grain Tumble Lube . The truncated cone with the standard lube groove works the best. The tumble lude semi-wadcutter is difficult to get the OAL, and does not give enought shoulder for reliable feeding. Just my .02$.

I have had great success with the TL-175 SWC. My primary reason for going with it was to save time on sizing and lubing. Mine fall from the mold at .402, and with straight WW weigh 169.5 - 170.2 and cut nice holes in the paper. I oven heat treat batches at ~440 degrees which according to an article at www.lasc.us gives me a BHN around 20 after a few days, swirl them with a light coat of LLA and once dry load them up. I use WW231 or AA#2 with the starting loads with no issues.

I have reliable feeding with the Lee 175gr TLSWC six gang mold. Accuracy could be better.

My Lee 200 gr TLSWC for the .45 ACP has outstanding accuracy. The boolit is short though, and get an occasional failure to feed with it.

I wish I had the same luck as those above. I have the 401-175-tc six gang and I cant get them to feed in my aftermarket barrel. The shape of the boolit is fatter at the nose so the boolit doesn’t taper as much, causing it to hit the rifling. They work fine in my stock glock barrel but the chamber is too tight in the federal. I can shoot other makes of cast boolits but not the lee. I am buying a lyman to see how that one works.

I've had really good luck with the Lee 175 gr TC (non TL) mould. I do favor the .40 180 gr. mould that I use in my master caster. I don't recall if it's a Magma mould or not. They both feed well in my CZ40B and Infinity Race Gun.

I'm using the Lee TL 401-175 swc casting with WWs and a little tin. I'm shooting these out of a XD40 service model. Very few problems feeding unless i play with the OAL Too long. From past experience stay away from the SWC and the Glock they have some feeding problems together... My favorite loads for accuracy are Titegroup and WSF.. I'm running into 2 out of 20 flyers or 10% Just to keep me humble. I'm still learning. These bullets amaze me for accuracy(1.5"-2" @ 45 feet) THEN 10% FLYERS...
