I recently re-barreled my Colt Lightning (Taurus Clone) from 45LC to 38-40 (38WCF)

Neat article, I have 2 funtioning and one striped 38 WCF Colt lightnings. I also have a 4 3/4 Colt bisley in that caliber. I friend of a friend bought a Taurus Lightning in 45 Colt and had the same blow back issues. I reloaded the cartridges with 9 grains of Unique and a 250 grain bullet and his troubles went away. The factory cowboy loads he was using didn't have enough poop to expand the cases and were all sooted up.
