I cast a bunch of 55 gr fn 223 bullets. Does anyone have a good load for these? Cast from an RCBS 22-055-FN. I tumble lubed and gas checked them. When weighed, they weigh exactly 55 grains with wheel weight lead. Any help would be appreciated. I also cast some 150 grain (actually weighing 160 gr) FN for .308. They are tumble lubed and gas checked also. Any data for that would be appreciated also. Thanks in advance

You should really get the Lyman Handbook and read through it. It has lots of cast bullet data and you can get starting loads for most weights of cast bullets and work them up.

What firearms you shooting them in? Can't even begin to suggest loads without knowing the use!:coffee:

Since I have no idea what you will be using those 223's in, I have found that any velocities under 2500 fps at the muzzle may not operate many semi-autos.

I will be shooting the 223 from an H&R single shot. The 308's will be shot fom a Winchester 94 30-30 and an old Arisaka 7.7 jap that I converted to 30-06 and re barreled to 308.
