I read recently that in the February 1975 issue of American Rifleman there is a article on the paper cartridge loads used in the .36 and .44 Colt pistols used in the Civil War. While I am a life member of the NRA, I dont keep all my old mags. I was wondering if someone had that copy.... I would like to see the article........... Thanks

Texan,
I dug out that issue. No article about paper loads or civil war handguns ?
there is an article called "Antique guns, where to find them" there was a photo with four 1900 century handguns, and one was a 1862 colt, but nothing about paper loads, it was about buying at auctions and such. Oh there was a great mountain Lion article by C.E. Harris.
