Hi All,

Has anyone tried casting Lee 358-158-RF bullets and shooting them from a Marlin 1894C 38spl/357 mag rifle? Will they cycle through the lever gun action? what weight do these bullets cast out as?

Thanks,
Best Regards,
MickeyJr.

They cycle very well in my Micro-groove Marlin and are as accurate as anything I have tried. My mould pours at .359 and is 157 gr. with ww and a little lino. I usually use ww for these but I was pouring rifle boolits and just finished out my run. I have several moulds in .357 but this one gets used the most.

Shoot and cycle well in my 94Win. Weigh right at 160, and drop at .359.

Thanks for the Information,

Can I use Lee Alox lube and hand dip this type of bullet into the lube and then size using the Lee size & lube Kit? What size of sizing die should I use? .358?

Thanks Again,
MickeyJr.

I shoot this bullet in all three of my Marlin 357s. All shoot OK. I can keep all 10 on a playing card at 25 yards. They are miserable, at least for me, at longer distances with open sights. I have shot them sized at 358 and unsized. The difference is minimal. My mold must run small as little sizing takes place. I have a second mold to try. Maybe I will have a larger bullet with it. I squirt a little LLA into a can and work the bullets in a circular fashion, spread them out to dry, size and relube.

While I dont shoot mine through a rifle I gave some to a freind who does and he loves them......Mine cast at .360" and 159-161 gr. I size to .359" and lube with 50/50 white label lube.

They shoot well from my 357 mag s&w 65 and Ruger security six and now out of a lever marlin ......Hmmmmm maybe I need a lever marlin?!
