I picked up an XDM 5.25 comp earlier this week, in 9mm, and finally got to shoot it tonight. Wow! what an amazing gun. It is absolutely the best out of the box handgun that I have ever owned. I was shooting a 120 gr Lyman tapered bullet with 4.4 grains of titegroup. Awesome results..... the whole way out to 50ft. the best part was that I didn't even have to touch the sights. It appears that the good people at Springfield got that right at the factory. I figured pictures speak a thousand words, so......6135961362

Don't say that or Fienstien will have her proof that guns ARE the ones killing people! You aimed and pulled the trigger, the gun just did what it was told to, and quite well I might add!

I don't own an XD, but do like the ergonimics and the ones I have shot (9 and45)
have been good guns.

No offense, but 50 ft is not long range for a pistol. As you get more experience,
shoot farther and improve your skills.

How was the leading? Pretty snappy with that load? A full grain more than I use but I only have 3.8 inches of barrel to get it burned in.

Leading was minor to no-existent. I credit the Carnuba Red. The bore cleaned out with several patches soaked with Balistol. I haven't had a chance to slug the barrel, but went with some .356 bullets that I have for a different gun. looks like that diameter will do just fine.

Bill, No offense taken. I bought this gun with the intention of trying out some action shooting. USPSA, etc. I'm pretty sure I won't be shooting all that far.
