With the help of 45 2.1 I placed an order for a 247Gr. bore rider for my GEW 88
Commission rifle (.318 bore). Tried to make it look like the original long
round nose bullet.

Placed the order for ten moulds on 3/19/07. Received them today (131 days).
All in all not to bad, if they got them right. Will cast some this week end to see.

45 2.1 Thanks for your help and I will be sending you a mould out next week.

Opened the box up from LEE - Only two moulds -
Checked invoice only two mould on it.
Order was for ten! To late in the day to call them.

131 days and it looks like I just got a $153.96 two
cavity mould from LEE.

Not very happy with LEE at All.
Have to call them Monday but I dont expect much
from them.

On the up side the two moulds I did get look good.

It looks like Lee did get the dimension right.
It comes out about 256 Gr. with my WW mix.
And its not a bad looking boolit.

................Very impressive missle! You ought to be able to make a Texas heart shot on a moose (or maybe 2 if they're lined up right), very handily.

If you paid Lee the amount you quoted, that should be about right for the $100 setup fee and the 2 moulds. If you paid by credit card and specified ten moulds, I would have been on the phone to Lee when I saw that charge on my bill. That's not enough for ten, by far.

Nice looking boolit, fancy one of those for my Steyr.

Let us know how it performs.

Good point!

Checked credit card and I have not been billed yet.
Have to call Monday and find out what is going on.

I am pleased with the moulds that I got.

Loaded up 10 rounds and made it out to the range.
I think this is going to be a very good boolit for a
GEW 88.
And it looks good too!

Called LEE, it looks like I will be getting back in line for the
balance of my order.
So maybe in 6 months I will have some molds to sale if
any one would like one.

Swede,

I too have a definite interest in buying a mould for one of these great looking boolits, when you get your backorder in from Lee. I have a neat Haenel Sporter 1888 Commission rifle with DST to run it in.

Thanks, Jim

Received the balance of my order.
Looks good and was in a timely manner.

I think LEE is trying hard to do things better.

If any one would like to get a mould go to my
web page. (See below)
