I purchased a used Star as a Christmas present to me. I warmed it up to work on get the old lube out so I could start with fresh lube. That stuff was like rocks. Any way on to the problem. When I removed the top piece where the lube goes in, the rest of the pieces stayed in the sizer. I cranked the screw all the way down until the old lube stopped coming out. How is the top piece attached to the rest of the pieces inside the luber and how do I get it out? Thanks in advance for your help and suggestions, Mike

Do a Google search for "Magma Star Lube Sizer" You will see a site that says "PDF" manual.

take the cap off the tube where you put the lube in turn the rod that has the cap on it upside down and screw it into the spring and pull up you might haveto turnon the heat to make it come out but that how you do it D Crockett

If it's hard to pull the plunger out, be careful. If you get your face over the lube reservoir while pulling up, it may come out quickly and you'll get hit in the forehead by the cap. I found out the hard way years ago..........

Hope this helps.

Thanks guys, No instructions came with it. I saw the thread on the other end but couldn't put two and two together. Now all I think I need is a heater plate and will be ready to get started. I had to heat it back up and pull like crazy but it finally came out. I'm sure I will have more questions. Thanks again, Mike
