I have located what seems to be a good deal on a nice Swiss Model 1911 rifle, if it had a magazine. My uninformed browsing has not turned one up.

Does anyone know of a source for these?

Thanks,
Bill

I have one I will sell for $375, and throw in the rest of the rifle!

Try the Swiss rifle forum. A couple of guys there can probably supply you one.

One per gun, NOT easily replaced, or cheaply.

Even ths Swiss do drop a mag once in a while so spares do exist. But yoy are right they dont give them away.
A spare mag will set you back $60-75. Funny thing, i bought a fine 1911 for $120 last week, go figure:roll:

Oops. It was advertised as a 1911, but it turned out to have the pistol grip addition. I guess this makes it a 96/11. I really wanted a true 1911, so I passed.
Thanks for the link to the Swiss rifle forum. I will find one eventually.

Look on ebay, they occasionally turn up there. Set a search for: " (swiss, switzerland, schmidt, rubin) (1911, k11, k1911) (mag, magazine) "
and save the search to email when it finds a match.

I was able to find one that way after a couple of weeks, cost about $65 shipped.

I ended up using a piece of 2 x 2 and a belt sander to make a single shot. I used the dermel sanding drum to make a groove so the bullet sit's right where it's suppose to before I close the bolt. It's a friction fit, nothing else holding it in place

zuke, that seems like a good solution. I seldom load more than 1 cartridge at a time when shooting off the bench myself.

There are people talking about making them on the SwissRifles discussion forum. Guisan can still sell you originals.
