So I was brewing a new batch today. I've made this several times with stellar results.

Laugh if you like but I have taken to tormenting other shooters by adding scents to my lube. It drives folks crazy when you add a vial of patchouli oil to the mix, I've had people walk up and down the line trying to find where the smell was coming from. It's a riot.

Well, I tried a little orange pomegranate oil. It smelled great! I started stirring it and I can't tell you what happened but it started foaming like a warm can of beer. Spilled over and ran all over the place. I tried to pour it over into another pan to contain the mess and it started to run over too! What the hell?

This is what you get for trying to play silly retard mad scientist! LOL

Oh Cr............

That doesn't even begin to describe it. I sure hope you weren't making lube in the kitchen!

No, I bought a storage building made by a Mennonite family and it's my reloading/casting shop.
Needless to say, the shop floor sealed, waterproof and unlikely to rot anytime soon!!

Care to come over and do my shop floor anytime soon? I prefer a nice cherry/vanilla scent.

Beeswax and Murphy's Oil Soap will make a nice albeit less odiforous volcano too. You are not alone....I did it in the house while SWMBO was away....furious cleanup effort saved the day.

DeanWinchester, I have called the local radio station and requested that Styxx's Too much time on my hands be played in your honor.

That is hilarious! Reminds me of a prank I played on a coworker involving an unused urinal cake. That smell might get a reaction on the firing line!

That is funny in a "glad it wasn't me" kinda way but I gotta say I do like the idea of the scent. Wonder if there is a way to get like a fresh popped popcorn scent? That would draw folks in from all around! [smilie=l:

Think we are all to a degree tinker type people. If it works, we sometimes have to fix it. Good story however and good for a laugh!
