I just started using LilGun in my 44 Mag Marlin. I really like the way it performs thus far and I am refining some loads using Montana Bullet Works 280 gr WFN-GC sized to 0.433". Has anybody had experience with this bullet and powder combination?

I use it for 185 gr. cast bullets in my .357 Magnum carbines. It gives about 175 fps more velocity than Win. 296/H-110 does, with excellent accuracy.

Hope this helps.

Fred, thanks for the reply, I have found a similar velocity advantage in my 44 mag. Have not yet checked for accuracy, but the loads are pretty consistent across the chronograph so I have hope that it will translate to accuracy.

I using Lil'Gun with a Ranch Dog 290 gr .454 GC bullet that I take down to .452 for my Rossi 92 20" barreled 45 Colt. It is a real thumper and I loaded two batches one at 23 to 23.5 gr with the second at 25 to 25.2 gr. Both where extremely accurate however the recoil was a bit strong forcing me to get a butt cover for the rifle Ranch Dogs max with the Rossi 92 is 25.5 and they make a great hunting load for pigs up to deer.
