I have slugged a few pistols in the past and tonight I slugged my 223 Ruger M77 heavy. I started the sinker slug at the muzzle and found that by the time it was started it pushed through the barrel very easy, no real resistance. Is this normal? I realize that even a .380 slug has a lot more surface area then the 223 especially when using pistol slugs made from lead in once fired brass but I expected a little more resistance. The 223 slugged at .225 which seams on the large side of things.
