I have 28lb of pure lead and 32lb of isotope container lead that if mixed with .75lb of pewter gives me a mix of 1.67% tin, 1.65% antimony and a BHN of 10.6

Will this work for my 45 for just paper punching in a 200gn SWC without leading ?

My normal mix has more antimony and arsnic but is not water droped and has a BHN of 12.2 and dose not lead at all so just comparing.

Thanks Steve

Yes, or you could water drop them and increase hardness if desired.

Water drop them and you will increase the BHN I shoot 2700 aggregate with about 11.2 BHN

My Bullseye boolits run about 9 BHN. The 45 with target loads normally doesn't need a very hard boolit. The old Star swagged SWC was almost pure. 6-7 BHN range.

The 45acp will work w/ even softer alloy. I shoot straight range scrap most of the time, sometimes add some clip ww if fill out isn't waht I want.
