Boyd's vs CMP 03-A3 stocks

CMP advertises a complete C stock with cartouche for $164.95. These include the crossbolts. The cartouche is the CMP, not any military inspection cartouche. Boyds makes these stocks for the CMP and says they are 95% inletted, sells for $144.00.

Ha anyone had experience with either or both of these options? Does anyone know if CMP does anything other than add their stamp for the $20.00 difference?

I got my answer over on Surplusrifle.com forum. The Boyds is far from drop in, the CMP is drop in. Either the CMP stock is not from Boyds or they do quite a bit of work on it. Anyway, for a $20 difference it is a no brainer to me.

I installed a CMP M1 stock. It required some minor fitting. I am happy with it and would buy another.

How long did it take them to ship? I've never bought from them before. I got a confirmation of order e-mail indicating it needed approval right away and nothing since. How good are they at communicating?
