A long time ago in a galaxy far away a friend and I got into the business of casting for our .44's. Making a long story short we would melt WW in our 10lb Lee and toss in a 1lb "babbit" slug, chipper spacers from the local pulp mill. Didn't even know about smelting first. Made some darn hard boolits, tho. Anyway, rooting thru the shed and spotted the ingot mold. Dug deeper and came up with 22lbs of this alloy we created and 20lbs of the babbit spacers. Gonna take one of each by the scrap yard tomorrow and see what I really have, probably will have to smelt these ingots down with some of my soft lead and make a known alloy. Gonna buy one or two of the plain lead bricks they have, last I heard they are $1 per pound, I can melt them down with some of the WW I have and make everything go further. GW
