I know this issue has been posed before but here goes nothin.
I have not found 1 large pistol primer anywhere to purchase. I do however have CCI large mag pistol primers and wnichester large pistol for both mag and large pistol primers. I am loading for the first time .45acp and have unique, universal clays, H110, for powder choices and will be using bullets out of mihec's 200 grain H&G 68 mold lubed with carnuba red. Thanks in advance for any guidance as I can't wait to start shooting my new remington enhanced R1 1911 but don't want to hurt myself or the gun.

You should be fine with magnum primers as long as you start on the low end of the recomended charge weight.

These guys had Winchester LP primers yesterday. They're out today, but their inventory changes daily.

In the past i worked up a load with 5.0gr WSL with a 200gr 68 bullet with Fed LPP for a 45 acp, (not a max load ) i got a really good deal on 25,000 Fed lpm primers and used them ,accuracy was nearly identical at 25 yards ! this is only one senairo, so be safe ! oh by the way i used about 15,000 rounds of that load substuting LPM primers for LPP.

You can use the magnums. Start low and work up safely.
