Can I use IMR4895 with this mold ? For use in 223 XP100. Unable to find any loadings in my manuals.
Thanks

Should work fine. Check on the favorite loads section. IIRC 17-18gr of the stuff is what you want. Check to be sure

Start at 16 gr and use a 1/3 - 1/2 gr dacron filler and work up in .2 - .5 gr increments untill accuracy really goes south. I've shot a bajillion 50 - 60 gr cast in the .223 out of SSs, bolt actions and gas guns using 4895 of different flavors. They all work well, especially if the barrel twist is 12 - 14" in the 18 - 21 gr range.

I am new to this & don't understand the filler's role ? Do I push it down on top of the powder or place it loosely in the case ? Is the filler pillow stuffing ?
Thanks

A week ago I was shooting the NOE 22-055 (mine weigh in at about 63.0 grains with GC) with 24.0 gr 4895 in a .223 rifle. I think I was getting around 2800 fps. I was useing an alloy of 50% COWW and 50% range salvage. I did add copper to my alloy useing copper sulfate. I got absolutely no leading and accuracy was more than acceptable. My bullets are sized .225 and lubed with my version of Felix's Lube. No filler is needed with this load. If you have an interest in this alloy look for the thread in Lead and Lead Alloys.
Fillers are used in reduced loads to hold the powder charge in the rear of the case to aid in combustion and give more uniform ignition. Pillow fill will work well. Just take a small pinch of it and push it down into the case over the powder charge. The filler amount need not be large as it will fluff out and hold its position in the case.
