Soon in the mail I'll be getting a R.E.A.L. Lee 45cal 250gr mold #90931

It looks like a good boolit. Do you think it will work good in a 45lc revolver with 5.75 inch barrel?

I use them with kids when introducing them to muzzleloading and I size them for kids and leave them full diameter at the engraving ring for older kids and adults we introduce to shooting. Short range work quite decent and my buddies first ever deer was taken with one I cast for him and his traditions.

farmallcrew, you may want to consider buying the Ideal 454190 two cavity mold that is on eBay... http://www.ebay.com/itm/IDEAL-TWO-CAVITY-MOULD-454190-250-GRAIN-FN-FOR-45-COLT-AND-OTHERS-/150988147028?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2327984954

It is the original 45 Colt bullet in 250grs

REAL= Rifle engraved at loading
This round is really ment for muzzle loading, I've used one for decades in my Kentucky rifle and love it.
There are much better choices for the 45 colt. The one John Boy suggested is a great one.

As said above, it's a muzzle loading boolit. It's tapered! The bottom ring is/should be .450 the next one up .452, then .454, and the top is .458. It's made to slide in the muzzle to the second driving band, then engrave the next 2-3 bands deeper as it rammed. This helps center it and keep it aligned.

If you use it for 45 colt, you'd better size it in a .452 sizer, otherwise you'll never get it in a cylinder, or get it loaded in a case.
