???????? Where did you hear about this? I just checked both Fox and CNN and they don't mention it, at least nowhere I could find.

A strong earthquake shook southeastern Alaska early Thursday, but there was no danger of a tsunami and no early reports of any damage, officials said.

The magnitude 6.0 quake struck shortly before 1 a.m. and was centered in the ocean, about 200 miles south of the capital, Juneau, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

59997yep, woke me just before 1am this morning weathered it well. Thanks for your concern it was 63 miles west of us in the big pond. The way the wind blows here things are well built and a lil ground shaken' barely bothers us it's been real busy quake wise here in the last couple months. Here's a pic of Craig I took. Thanks for thinking of us. Dennis

You wont feel quakes underground. you'll hear them, but you wont feel them.

I was working when we had a rash of them here in IN a couple yrs back. Didn't know we had several quakes that day, except where i was at underground, it kept sounding like a mantrip coming down the road to the old unit i was working on.
Found out when i got on top we'd had several quakes all day long.
