After a long hassle with half the phone companies in the south central US, I finally got a DSL line.

I'm configuring now but will be on line soon.../beagle

Bout time! Was getting worried that the move had gotten you down and out for more than normal. 375H&H is coming along well with 375449 over 33gr. of the Clone for 4759. Welcome back!

Felix, DSL wasn't available when you moved in and now you have it? If that's the case please tell me what you did to get it. I'm pretty sick of dial up service.

Thank You

Roy

Boys, it's good to be back. Now, if I can keep this place mowed and have time to shoot, I'll be happy. Got a 100 yard range at the bottom of the yard and a 200 yard in the bottom field. Ought to be happy with that.

I've sure missed grousing with you guys on the net./beagle

No, we have real power down here. Comes in off a pole even. Everything else is by satellite almost.

Ever time I look bacl over the back 40 and all that grass, I wish for old Toby......

Just had a time fighting city hall for a DSL line down here. Because I lived on the left side of the road, I couldn't get DSL (no stuff). Finally, I requested a dial up line and they assigned one. This involved running a new line across a river, up a 40 foot rock cliff and over 200 yards (actual fact, I'm not exagerating). The new number/line they assigned was DSL capable so I signed up for it and cancelled the old one. Mone than one way to skin a cat.

Mrs. Beagle is doing fine out here. Just can't get use to going out at night and seeing three lights (one of them's mine)./beagle

...

Combine the two - I can see the test results and the posted loads now:

"Cast bullets to cut the grass with".

"Penetration through 100 yards of 3' tall grass."

"Effect on accuracy shooting through 3' tall grass".

"Weed chopping with wadcutters".

"Why it takes 125 fouling shots before one can shoot the match".

...

WELCOME BACK!

Because I lived on the left side of the road, I couldn't get DSL (no stuff).Just tell them to make a U-Turn with the phone truck and you'll be on the right side.

This all reminds me of the old Three Stooges gag about pointing to your left.)

Beagle, welcome to KY, I'm about 30 miles west of you in Bardstown. My place is in a valley were it gets gubermint issued sunlight. I can get almost 300yds on my range. If you are into IPSC shooting or are thinking about it there is a club that shoots at my place once a month.

Actually Beagle didn't move to Kentucky, he just moved a few miles south into the country. Lexington isn't that far away. He says now he can shoot a two different ranges on his own property. Do you guys really that's the reason for the move? I think being a country boy at hart, he's got corn mash a wait'en in the shed to be made into you know what.

Watch those snakes John, but remember they were there first....Geo

I'll be visiting my hometown again next year when the NRA Annual get together is in Louisville.
I was there, for the first time in 10 years, last year for the Colt Collector's Convention.
Sure was good to go visit some old friends down at the Beam Distillery. But the place ain't the same since Booker's gone.

My wife used to work with Booker's wife at the local hospital.
As far as I'm concerned one of his best accomplishments was selling uncut barrel whiskey. There is a big difference in the smothness and taste before they blend it and cut it with water.

Back in the late '80s when they were first getting Booker's started I was doing some promotional work with Don Randall. Don & Booker took me down to a warehouse where we "sampled" some straight from a barrel.
A year later when the first batch was bottled, Booker sent me the second case off the line. I wonder what a bottle of that first batch would be worth today?

Last year when my best friend & I were visiting, they were serving something else for tasting in the "little house" that day. But they did us a favor and pulled out the Booker's just for us. Made us feel kinda special. :drinks:

Get yourself a Ford 8N and a brush hog, then you can join another forum.

I have an 8N but no brush hog or land to speak of, just a third of an acre, my tractor is mostly my other toy.
