changed from 10lb ww- 2lb lion.- 8 oz 60/40.. to cut back to only 1 lb liontype. . had been casting good at 700 de . new mixture was not filling our good some weinkles. after 1000 bullets , while lubing the good ones i was thinking of adding back more lion. then i thought of upping the temp to 750 de. will try it this weekend. i am making 45 acp 190 gr lee 6 cav. did not have a problum with old mix what do you think?? thanks charles

The reduction in linotype raised the melt temperature a little. Try cranking it up another 20 degrees. I personally see no reason to add linotype to boolits used in a .45 ACP....straight WW metal is all I've ever needed.

the hotter lead seams to have worked. i rased it to 750 and both molds worked fine. made about 1000 in 1 hr. i need to make 10,000 should have it figured out by then. i just like a litter harder air cooled. i got use to it 25 yr ago when i had a reloading business. i did not way or measute, i just added a little of this and a little of that. i worked with soft lead, ww, and liontype. at one point i did water drop. i know it does make a real hard bullet. thanks charles
