44-40 cylinder

Any ideas where I can find a 44-40 cyl. for a single action USFA? Or, has anyone heard of a clone part that might work? The phone number on their website seems to be dead along with their production.

I am being told that USFA was a place to get parts that were really interchangeable with a original colt... so perhaps a colt cylinder will work on the USFA.... just a thought.

I just checked Brownell's, no luck. Only a .45 LC for $270.00.

See Eddie Janis at Peacemaker Specialists.. He has 44-40 cylinders new and used listed on the website. You have to call for a price. I think he only has them for original Colts. You did not mention in your post what you have .
