I'm clearing cobwebs from my loading operation, and have the following situation:
One Ruger MkII in 7.62x39, which I'd like to try out as a sort of Super 32-20, for Texas varmints. Unable so far to provide rifle with a front sight - barrel OD at muzzle is right at 0.500". So, I've got 30mm rings and intend to go with my first red dot sight.
Shoe box full of new Lapua brass. Hat full of Remington 100 gr 0.310" 32-20 bullets.
Generous supplies of old IMR and Hercules powders, but no AA propellants.
Ideas, please for accurate, fast loads. Plenty of time here, as the universe is rectifying our long drought with constant precipitation. The rifle is stainless, however, so I may go out anyway.
