As you folks know, we have spent the last couple days messing with a whole group of hogs we caught in the trap. And, these were the saltiest hogs I have messed with in a LONG time. So my sister wanted to have some ground pork and I was all too happy to oblige. We met up on Saturday at my folks home ranch (396 acres) made a battle plan, and moved up to the trap. Well, Dad wasn't there this weekend, so out came the 22! I waited for them to go near the door and dispatched them with the rifle.
I didn't take many pics, but the few I did, I did cause I was real proud of my Sis and my wife. They actually fussed at me for wanting to do too much and told me to sit on the tailgate. And sit I did. They did most all the skinning. I did the gutting and quartering. I am just proud as punch that there was no sitting back, no whining, no disappearing, nothing. My sister even grabbed my 870 riot gun full of OO Buck and when I went into the trap to get the dead hogs for bleeding, she even told me "If that red one charges, I will kill him before he gets to you, but you may take a little schrapnel." And the wife too was absolutely willing to stand outside the trap and bleed the hogs as I drug them to her.

Thanks guys. I just really am proud of the whole team. Hard to process around 600 pounds of meat in one day without someone saying they have had enough.

that ain't no kidding.
i can get the wife to clean an animal but not skin it.
little girl cleaned and skinned her deer this year,and cleaned mine too.
i held her cell phone for her :lol:
felt pretty good to just watch and kabitz while a deer got cleaned and skinned.

i had to do most of the major cutting,but i got help in the de-boning portion.

Definitely not city girls! Good work. I had a man try to give me a 250# hog today that was still in the trap. I had too much on my plate with one helper out sick.
