I enjoyed the video. Don't know that I could alternate moulds like that without messing up somewhere, fumble fingers here!

Dennis, what kind of cap is that you're wearing there? Seriously. I like that style cap. It looks very similar to a Kromer.

Dennis: Good video! Not to be critical, but invest in a rawhide hammer!

That's terrific. Who needs a magma caster when you can throw lead like that lol. I can't cast one mold while talking much less two while talking and shooting a video, you sir have mastered the art of multitasking.

Very nice. It is good videos like yours that drive home the point to folks who are on the edge about casting that making bullets really isn't rocket science.

hey dennis,, move your bucket to the other side, below your sprue dish, you'll burn about 500 fewer calories in a session.

Thanks guys for all the kind comments. Triggernosis, I don't know the style of cap I like it 'cause it bothers my son when I wear it. But then he wears his backward, so I guess we're even. The cap was given to me by a big fish plant whos product we truck and barge in the freight bussiness. Charlie two tracks, nope not real cold but it's a damp wet cold and makes it seem worse and if caught out in it will kill you just as quick. Winelover, not critical at all I love the feed back and expect it when I put myself out there. It's not a very clear view and rawhide is a good Idea, but the hammer head is rubber and seems to work well, at least for the last 10 years or so although it's not as big as it once was. Lamar, That is a great idea and I will give that a try, Thanks, And Thanks again to everyone else. Dennis

I use the same rubber hammer for knockin' 'em loose..... rawhide hammer, eh? Sounds chewy. AND delicious!

I would cut the sprues into a can or pan and after just a few, dump them back into the furnace. They are still warm and won't affect the temperature of the melt that much.
Additionally, put a couple bolts or heavy nails into the left side of the bench and use them to hold onto the sprue cutter, then twist the mold to cut. Then you won't have to hammer to cut.
Other than that, looks like a darn good operation.
