As The name states who makes a decent buckshot mold? I am looking for one to play around with.

Try the Lee website.....I don't load shotgun shells but read some articles regarding the 6 cav. buckshot molds made in #4 and 00 as I recall. Do a search on this or other casting forums.afish4570

A nice set of molds. Cut them free, and toss them in a box in your trunk. After a week of driving around they'll be plenty round.

Skiesunlimited. Several buck sizes, casts 20 per pour (usually), works well and is affordable......

Surprised Lee does not make a little cutter to separate the balls...one that uses a couple util knife blades would be pretty simple.

I haven't use the Skies Unlimited but I really like my Lee.

I cast hot and when the mould is opened the strings drop out and mostly balls separate when dropped as they are a bit brittle. Those that don't get rolled under a utility knife after they cool. It works for me.

#4 lee is a pain in the A__ but it can be done. Just got to run very hot and screaming fast! Did 40# and it is time consuming. The others look good and probally work fine but I did not think I wanted to cut a sprue off of every single pellet. I think the 00 and 000 molds will be faster and easier to use.

The Skies Unlimiteds are great. I have four. You have to cast hot so gloves are a must. Fire up, run a batch, shut down and trim with the small curved side cutters that they sell or they're available in the hobby department at Walmart. I tumble mine in a RCBS Sidewinder and they come out great./beagle
