bought a lathe........1966 nova 13 x 40...........

price was right, now i have to get it home and get some power in the garage...as in 220.

here the only confusing thing on this lathe(so far) its clearly dated 1966 but says made in china......seems we weren't doing business with them back then ??

could it be tiawan ??
uncle sam taught me how to run one back in the 70's, but have not used one in atleast mid 80's........gonna build me some toys!

well thursday i'll rent a truck and see if i can get it down the loading ramp at home.

There are 2 Chinas. Might well be Tiawan. Try googling Nova LAthe or hitting the machinist BBS for info.

looks sorta like the 12/13-40inch lathe sold by harbor frieght and others.
comes with 3/4jaw, face plate, steady rest, stand, 4 way tool holder, tools and original set of books.

pick it up tommorrow, gotta add 220 wiring to the garage....so the next step is wiring 101.
