It looks like a good deal but I want to ask all of you first. I found 2 moulds that are H&G 4 cavity moulds. One is a 38spl wadcutter (#50) and the other is 45 semi-wadcutter (#130). The dealer is asking $40 each and they each have handles.
They look good and shut up nice. So, should I grab these 2? I cast only 38, 44, and 45 now and this would sure up my production. Only trouble, I have a Lee 20# pot and Lyman ladle. Will I need to get larger equipment? Thanks for your help.

I have little interest in light-for-caliber bullet weights, but would still buy both of those at that price on General Principle.

New equipment? Probably not, though having only cast with a bottom pour pot, ladles seem like a real PITA for a multi-cavity setup.

Cheap unless wrecked.

I would give you your $80 back for the 130 with handles if it is good shape.

To paraphrase MtGun44-- if they are in decent shape, buy them. If you don't like them, you can resell them here.

I do not forsee any problems filling either of those molds with a Lyman ladle.

Ladle casting 4-cavity molds is almost as fast as a bottom pour ! Buy them and enjoy ! :)

FYI, never walk away from something like that and expect it to be there when you return.

Grab em!

I found the exact same deal last year at a small local gunshow. Two perfect conditions 4C H&G moulds with handles for $75. One was the good old 38 spl wadcutter and the other was the 45 ACP #130. I almost sprained my shoulder reaching for my wallet when the guy told me the price and I confirmed it wasn't $75 each.
