Hello All: I'm in the proces of making dies, punches, etc for a SAS press and could use some help. The bushing for the top punch is missing. I believe the bushing allows the punch to float. Would anyone be able to make a drawing of the bushing with dimensions in order for me to get it right? Best, Dan

I don't know if this will help or not. If the top of the press is treaded 7/8x14 I have used old rusted 220 Swift size & seat dies as punch holders. After annealing the die I drill and tap for a grade 8 0.5in bolt. I cut the head off the bolt and turn down the shank to make any size core seat punch I need. The slop in the ½in threads gives me all the "floating" I need. This only works for core seat punches because such a variety of sizes may be needed due to varying wall thickness & tapers.
