Hello all, I have seen some of the posts that mention adding pewter. My question is why? What benefit does it bring? Thanks for putting up with us noobs. I found a few figurines at the goodwill store for about $5. But don't know the weight.

Modern pewter is 80% or better tin and tin aids in fluidity and mold fill out.

Figurines vary a lot depending on size. Those 2 inch Avon bears and such are about 2.5 ounces each.
