I've been using the silly Geico lizard for a good while for an avatar. Just thought he was always sort of funny. I learned today that Geico is seriously anti gun, and has gone so far as to cancel some peoples insurance if they knew the people were involved in any gun related business.
Well, I've never used their insurance, and decided I should change my avatar so's no one would think I was promoting their insurance.:x

Good for you. We have to be alert for the ones that will stab us in the back. AARP is another one. At age 70, and getting my medical from the VA, I am sure that the AARP has some program that would help, but I will not support any organization that stabs members in the back with their own knives.

Geico = Government Employee Insurance Company. I forget how long ago they expanded & started to sell to the general public at large instead of just Government people.

The title explains much of it. I have put this up elsewhere. No sense in funding our enemies. And I have been old enough for several years to use AARP, but have not and will not because of their stance.

And far, far worse than Geico is PROGRESSIVE.

Owned in part by george soros. If you don't know george you need find out, one of the most evil people on the planet. The very name progressive is the official name of the American socialist party and if you have progressive insurance you are helping fund them.

Any background information on why Geico is considered antigun?
I hate to make changes based on rumors.

Yes, there is a copy of a letter circulating on the 'net, and an article over on FreeRepublic. I already knew about progressive, I will see if I can get a link.

Wow, I just did a search on "Geico, Anti Gun" and there is plenty of information out there. Hit 'em in the pocketbook, guys, it's the only thing they understand.

I have USAA and love it. These people listen to you. Got them through the American Legion I belong to.
