I know this is a strange question, but a friend of mine wants to trade me some commercially cast bullets in a caliber I don't shoot any more. I was thinking about throwing them in with the WWs when i smelt them down.

Yep Boolit Lube works fine as a flux but a bit greasy so I'd not use it as a flux of choice but melting down lubed boolits is OK.

I've been gradually recasting my stock of pistol boolits which are all lubed, just don't fill the pot too full of alloy as the lube pools on the alloy surface and will run over the top if you've just put enough alloy in to fill your pot.

It's surprising how much lube there is on 20lb of boolits.

works great but is a waste of good money when plain paraphin wax or even motor oil or sawdust works just as good.

I can't resist asking why! :)

Where they deficient in some way as originally cast?
