I've been casting for a little while now (maybe a year), and I am starting to notice that the cast boolits I see on the forum are mostly shiny. The ones I cast are dull (not frosted) and I can wipe them with a plain dry rag and remove a dull powdery looking coating to expose a shiny boolit underneath. My alloy is COWW fluxed with aspen pet bedding. Is the dull powdery coating normal, a sign of not fluxing enough/with the correct material, or something else? Maybe tomorrow I can post a picture, but as of now I'm away from any of my boolits :-?
