I just loaded up some 150 grain lee flat nose bullets With 15 grains Alliant 2400 powder And got absolutely amazing results At 25 yards they were almost all in the same hole And 100 yards open sights I had about a 2 inch group.

Very good shooting. I might try stepping the load up in .5 gr increments, when the groups start to open up, go back one step. Or stopping around 18 grs. Won't hurt the rifle and you might even get a load that shoots even better.

I was Leary of going much higher than 15grain for the 30/30 I read some of the debates on line and was nervious becouse some said that would be too much pressure I hhve gone that high 18 with my 8mm

17 does well in most 30-30's.
you can move things along with other powders.
in my pre-64 i normally use 24.5 grs of aa-2230 i have taken it up to 27 which is fine for pressure but is moving right along.
a good low pressure easy to shoot load is 34 grs of 4831 it's a case full of the long cut.
it burns clean is quiet and accurate.
i get right at 1800 fps in my 20" barell, with the 311041 but it don't feel like it.

Beautiful! I've got an 1895 manufactured cousin to yours that was passed down to me; 26 inch octagon barrel, curved but plate and it is my best shooting 30-30. I shot my first deer with it and so did my son. Mine appears to be a bit more banged up though. Not too many 1894 rifles in my area, this was carbine country.

My Winchester's like 17.5 grains with either the 311-465 0r 311-466 boolits. Either will shoot as well as I can, and better than factory Remington 170 grainers.

That said, I envy you that rifle. It is spiffy! In fact, those look like my pant legs and shoes. Hey, wait a minute! Nope, not my gun, I just checked. (Dang.)
