How many tags do they give out for elk in TN? Seems like the woods are thick enough there they could really hide some elk.

How far are you from Dover?

I met a few bison when I visited Montana. Seemed like a couple were bigger than the car I was driving!

IIRC (I'm a military transplant) there are only 6 tags a year in TN. According to TWRA (TN Wildlife Resorces Agency) the # is about 300 head in state.

There is a stretch in northern BC that it is not unusual to have to stop and let the buffalo herd cross the road. They don't care what is coming or get in a hurry when they decide the grass is greener on the other side either. lol
