I have been putting up with a cheap spotting scope for way too long. Most of my shooting is off the bench at 100 yards, and it's not uncommon for me not to be able to see holes in my targets with my low-quality BSA 20-60x60 power "straight" spotting scope.
So I have decided to spring for a new one. I can't afford one of the $400/$500 and up Kowas or others, but I have had my eye on a Bushnell "Trophy XLT" 20-60x65mm Porro Prism spotting scope at Optics Planet that's in the $200 range.
This week I got a Sportsman's Guide catalog in the mail, and they have a similar looking Sightmark spotting scope outfit for sale for around $70.00 -- which is a lot less than the $200 I was getting ready to spend :)
Before I do something stoopid yet again (I think I may have gotten the BSA scope from the same place), I thought I would check with the board and see if any of you have any experience with Sightmark spotting scopes. This one is a 20-60x60mm with a field of view at 1,000 yards of 110'.
As always, TIA,
Tom
