What length for wadcutter ?

For those of you that use the H&G double ended thirty-eight wadcutter . What is a good overall length for the loaded rounds in a thirty-eight special case ? I intend to use these in revolver only and the lengths I have tried are 1.185" and 1.205" . I'm also wondering if having them a bit longer and taper crimping onto the front driving band might be a little better .
